Town of Nederland, Colorado
The F&D team was selected by the Town of Nederland to provide engineering design and project management services for upgrades to streets, bike paths, bus stops, sidewalks and storm drainage systems throughout the town. This project will bring much needed non-motorized access for the community and will connect the eastern part of the town to the western areas which include the RTD bus stop, the library, and the shops. The improvements will increase the connectivity and safety for the public and especially the children, who have to walk in the street in many places due to the lack of sidewalks.
This Multi Modal project received LEED Green Streets Certification and was the first Porous Pavement Project completed at a high elevation with extreme weather conditions.
