Case Study
The Henry Building
The Henry building is a prominent building in downtown Rifle constructed circa 1910. This 15,000 sf building was originally a saddle and tack manufacturing facility, later became a JC Penny’s, and is currently the County’s western location for the Garfield County Clerk and Recorder. The F&D team conducted a full historic building assessment that included an inspection of the historic structure, ADA and life/safety, as well as all of the mechanical systems. We also provided programming and space planning studies to improve the spatial qualities of the building for the county staff.
