Case Study
San Diego Natural History Museum
The F&D team was engaged by the museum to provide project management for this capital construction initiative required to renovate and update the building in order to receive an exhibit of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Our responsibility was to provide an assessment of the entire facility, provide design and engineering plans for the exhibit as well as address numerous deferred maintenance issues to bring the building into compliance. The F&D staff also provided financial consulting services to assist the museum execute the project and evaluate financial opportunities. We were able to successfully fund the project, provide designs, specifications and construction management so that the museum was able to receive the exhibit and open on-time.
The San Diego Natural History Museum was one of only three museums in the United States to receive the Dead Sea Scrolls, and this was one of the most successful exhibits they have ever hosted.
