Case Study

Garfield County, Jail

F&D International was selected to provide the county with a Facility Condition Assessment and Master Plan for the jail which was constructed in 2001 with the capacity to house 204 inmates, in minimum, medium and maximum classifications, and is a total square footage of 56,000 square feet. The building contains Sheriff administrative offices, jail, jail kitchen, laundry facilities, and mechanical areas.
Our project scope was designed and executed to identify potential expenses associated with the facility’s structure, site elements and systems in terms of seeking to baseline the current condition of the facility and to identify future facility improvements that may be needed. This baseline assessment will also be used to forecast future facility needs of the County.
