Case Study
Garfield Count Facility Assessments and Master Plan
F&D International was selected to provide facility assessments of over 1 million square feet of county-owned buildings as part of the development of 5 year and 10 year master plans. This project was conducted in 2 phases: (1) Development of an inventory of facilities with current condition assessment information for each building, (2) undertaking an in-depth analysis of each building for engineering/architectural integrity, strategic planning related to resources, organizational programs, personnel needs, and work environment.
A major criteria of the assessments was to determine the sustainability and maintainability attributes of each building and investigate ways to improve energy efficiency and apply LEED concepts in renovations and additions.
